The Histand Gift Project

Many of you will remember that Bob Histand, the last Pax director made a gift of 2 million dollars to support a “Pax-like” program of present day youth. We have been working with Mennonite World Conference to develop a program.  At a meeting in April in Akron,PA Mennonite World Conference and MCC agreed to work together to develop something in the southern hemisphere which would honor Bob and Sarah Histand’s gift.  As you know Bob died several years ago and we are working with Sarah to process the gift. But we also need a program and the MWC-MCC collaboration will bring us the best one can hope for in such an endeavor.  It holds great promise for our grandchildren.
